The next chapter has officially begun.... Maggie started kindergarten today. No tears here :) I am so proud of my little girl! I dropped her off this morning and she found her class all by herself. I followed behind of course just to be certain she didn't try to pass herself off as a 3rd grader. After I left the school, my friend Lisa hosted a brunch for all of the parents that were dropping their kids off at school for the first time and it was great to spend time with my girlfriends and find out how everyone was handling the day. No tears there either! There were a few that admitted that they let it all out yesterday though.
Our esteemed babysitter, Traci, braved the crowds with me this afternoon and picked the kids up from school. I was impressed at how smoothly the process ran and Maggie was just glowing when she walked out of the building. Traci takes the reins on Wednesday and will share pick up duties with Matt.
It took Maggie awhile to open up about what happened at school today but it sounds like she had a good time. I have noticed that she tells different information to me & Matt so we will have to be sure and confer at the end of the evening.
I've added the pictures from the fashion show that she put on for Matt yesterday. I don't know if I should laugh or cry when I look at these. On one hand, she is so beautiful and has such a fun spirit, but on the other hand, we are going to be in big trouble.... She checked her first kiss off the list last week so to say that she is advanced in this area is an understatement :)
Quinn is rockin' right along with all of this commotion. He started preschool at the Montessori school last week and is absolutely loving it. He is so excited to go to school everyday and is proud to carry his lunch bag in with him. The fire station across from the school is also a big hit. He continues to meet with his speech therapist and his language skills improve everyday.
